North Reading Woman Accused of Drunk Driving in Melrose

At 5:44 p.m. Sept. 29, Melrose Police responded to the area of Franklin and Main Streets on several reports of a motor vehicle accident. Annmarie King, of 10 Travelled Way, North Reading, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of intoxicating liquor and negligent operation of a vehicle.

Sept. 29

8:55 a.m.: Howard Street, report of damage to a vehicle.

4:03 p.m.: Lynn Fells Parkway near Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School, several reports of an accident. 

Sept. 30

8:58 a.m.: A person visited the police station to report a past theft from a vehicle on Temple Street.

1:02 p.m.: Walgreens on Main Street, report of a woman who allegedly bought gift cards and is now selling them in the parking lot.

Oct. 1

3:34 a.m.: Cochrane Street, caller reported seeing smoke in the basement. The fire cleared.

8:38 a.m.: West Foster Street, report of an accident.

3:04 p.m.: Grove Street at Larrabee Street, report of an accident. A Toyota with Massachusetts plates was towed from the scene.

5:56 p.m.: Ellsworth Avenue, caller reported a stolen baby stroller.

Oct. 2

12:28 a.m.: North Cedar Park, caller reported that her light switch was hot and glowing. The fire was cleared.

8:08 a.m.: Melrose Animal Clinic on Essex, report of a lock box filled with blood stolen.

8:21 a.m.: Circuit Street at Hurd Street, multiple reports of a fight in progress.

8:21 a.m.: Melrose High School on Lynn Fells Parkway, a custodian reported vandalism in the boys' bathroom.

1:15 p.m.: Botolph Street, report of a possible scam.

2:39 p.m.: Walgreens on Main Street, report of possible scams.

7 p.m.: A person visited the police station to report their vehicle was damaged due to a large hole in the street in the area of Whittier Street at Sibley Street.
