Here's a look at some of the police stories making headlines in the Melrose region this week:

Somerville Police Make Series of Cocaine Arrests: The Somerville Police Department made a series cocaine-related arrests during mid-December, according to police reports. Two of the arrests came after an undercover operative infiltrated an alleged cocaine distribution ring and led investigators to a dealer known as "El Diablo," according to one report.

Pizza Delivery Man Robbed: A Papa Gino's delivery person told police that, as he was making a delivery at a Walford Way home in Somerville on Saturday, Dec. 15, two suspects pulled him into the hallway, showed a handgun and took his money.

The suspects were described as two black males. Both reportedly fled from the area before police arrived. The matter is being investigated.

Tic Tac Causes Crash Near Mall: Police were dispatched to a two-car accident on Mishawum Road. According to police, one car rear-ended another when the driver reached down for a Tic-Tac mint. Everyone involved refused medical treatment, said police.

Police Forced To Use TASER On Assault Suspect: A woman suspected of assault resisted arrest in such an aggressive manner that Tewksbury Police officers were allegedly forced to use a TASER to subdue her.
