One Suspect Held in Custody on Drug Charges

Melrose Police and ATF officers arrested two accused of drug dealing this week. One remains in custody on probation violations.

One suspect remains in custody on probation violations after two drug-related arrests by the Melrose Police and ATF this week

Xaviel Carasquillo, 27, of 100 Orange St., Chelsea, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a class B substance (cocaine), possession of class A substance (heroin) and two distribution charges within a school zone. 

Anthony Vivolo, 42, of Melrose, was charged with intent to distribute a class B substance (cocaine) within a school zone.

Carasquillo was arraigned at Malden District Court and was held for probation violations. He remains in custody at Cambridge jail.

Vivolowas also arraigned at Malden District Court and released on personal recognizance. He is scheduled to reappear on Dec. 5.
