Patient Allegedly Causes Disturbance at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital

At 5:15 a.m. Sept. 16, Melrose Police responded to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on Lebanon Street on a report of a patient causing a disturbance in the emergency room. The patient was placed in protective custody.

Sept. 16

12:47 a.m.: West Emerson Street near Melrose Public Library, complaint of skateboarders in the area. The skateboarders were gone upon arrival.

12:39 p.m.: Myrtle Street, report of chickens running around St. Mary's. The animal control officer was notified.

9 p.m.: Stevens Place at Upham Street, report of suspicious activity. The caller claimed that possibly four people were trying to break into a car parked in area. However, the individuals involved were picking up the vehicle they had just purchased.
