Revere Man Accused of Destruction of Property at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital
At 4:38 a.m. Oct. 27, Melrose Police responded to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on Lebanon Street for a complaint. Security claimed that someone was tampering with the generator. Jason Carangelo, 42, of 30 Park Ave. Apt. #11, Revere, was arrested and charged with malicious destruction of property over $250.
Oct. 27
5:38 a.m.: Albion Street, report of a domestic disturbance. The caller reported that she had a fight with her boyfriend and he wouldn't leave. Gregory Smith, 27, of 51 Albion St., Melrose, was arrested and charged with possession with a firearm without a FID card.
12:27 p.m.: Pearl Street, report of hypodermic needles found in the area. The needles were retrieved and disposed of properly.
4:25 p.m.: North Avenue, report of a past burglary. The caller reported that there was missing property from his home.
Oct. 26
10:39 a.m.: Melrose High School on Lynn Fells Parkway, band director reports a stolen band stand.
2:22 p.m.: A man visited the police station to report stolen phone.
6:15 p.m.: West Wyoming Avenue, report of possible mail theft.
Oct. 25
2:41 p.m.: CVS Pharmacy on Main Street, report of suspicious activity. The caller reported that a man was wearing a handgun on his waist.
3:19 p.m.: Felton Place, report of a past hit-and-run accident.
5:57 p.m.: Dexter Road, report of trash dumping at end of the road. DPW notified.
8:47 p.m.: Berwick Street, report of odor of gas inside a building. Police and Fire responded.
