Sex Offender Summonsed, Melrose Man Arrested on Warrant

Sex Offender Summonsed

At 3:06 p.m. Nov. 14, a 60-year-old Melrose man was summonsed on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender.

Melrose Man Arrested on Warrant

At 1:33 a.m. Nov. 18, Melrose Police conducted a motor vehicle stop in the Grove Street and Cass Street area. Stephen Andrew Johanson, 32, of 63 Sanford St., Melrose, was arrested on a warrant charging him with operating a vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense.

Nov. 17

2:28 p.m.: Franklin Street at Chipman Avenue, report of an accident.

4:46 p.m.: Tremont Street, several reports of an accident. 

Nov. 16

2:56 p.m.: Main Street at Boardman Avenue, report of an accident. One vehicle was towed from the scene.

Nov. 15

7:52 a.m.: Appleton Street, a stolen truck and boat were towed from the street after truck had been ticketed multiple times. Environmental Police were contacted and confirmed the boat was stolen. Middleton and Lynnfield Police Departments were notified about the thefts. 

1:05 p.m.: Main Street, caller reported theft of construction materials.

3:53 p.m.: Main Street at Green Street, report of a hit-and-run accident. The caller reported a white Expedition with a Massachusetts license plate that read "GIBBY" sideswiped his vehicle, knocking off his side view mirror and then fled the scene.

4:09 p.m.: A 46-year-old Melrose woman was summonsed on a charge of larceny by check over $250. 

Nov. 14

2:16 p.m.: Main Street, a doctor's office staff member reported a false prescription. 

7:10 p.m.: Lincoln Street, report of a possible phone scam.

10:59 p.m.: Main Street at Green Street, report of an motor vehicle accident. One vehicle was towed.

Nov. 13

11:08 a.m.: Franklin Street at Main Street, report of an accident. 

1:51 p.m.: Washington Street near JFL Marketing, report of an accident. A construction vehicle reportedly struck a car.

3:24 p.m.: Main Street, report of fraud.

Nov. 12

1:24 p.m.: A person visited the police station to report their cell phone was stolen at Melrose YMCA on Main Street.

3:45 p.m.: Lynn Fells Parkway near Dunkin' Donuts, caller reported vehicle struck by another vehicle while parked at the coffee shop. Parties exchanged insurance paperwork.
