Stoneham Man Accused of Drunk Driving

At 8:08 p.m. March 17, Melrose Police responded to West Wyoming Avenue on a report of a suspicious motor vehicle in the area. The caller reported seeing an erratic motor vehicle, described as a Chrystler Sebring convertible, on West Wyoming Avenue, according to police. The caller allegedly observed the suspect vehicle to be driving slow and fast at times and crossing the double yellow lines and putting the blinker on and off, according to police. Police conducted a motor vehicle stop of the suspect vehicle. Paul Tuminelli, 59, of 159 Main St. Apt. #34C, Stoneham, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicating liquor, second offense.

March 15

1:49 a.m.: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Main Street. A 25-year-old Medford man was summonsed on charges of failure to yield or stop and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

10:03 a.m.: A woman visited the police station to report a restraining order violation. A 47-year-old Lynnfield man was summonsed on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order.

10:58 a.m.: A person dropped off a hypodermic needle they found in the Myrtle and Essex Streets area, according to police. The needle was disposed of properly, according to police. A report was taken.

4:35 p.m.: Police responded to a parking lot on Main Street for a report of a possible past motor vehicle accident with damage to a street sign. A report was taken.

5 p.m.: An East Emerson Street resident visited the police station to report a fraud. A report was taken.

6:02 p.m.: Police called to the area of Grove and Lebanon Streets for a report of a hypodermic needle found in the road. The needle was recovered and disposed of properly, according to police. 

March 16

12:16 p.m.: A person brought a puppy to the police station. The animal control officer was contacted to pick up the puppy, according to police. 

2:22 p.m.: Police responded to Main Street on a report of motor vehicle accident. Police assisted with the insurance paperwork exchange. A report was taken.

5:58 p.m.: Police called to Lebanon Street for a report of a single-car accident. No tows or transports logged. A report was taken.

7:31 p.m.: Police received a complaint about a woman screaming at Honey Dew Donuts on Main Street. An employee at Honey Dew Donuts was yelling at her boyfriend on the telephone, according to police.
