Melrose Woman Arrested, Man Summonsed on A&B Charges
At 8:23 p.m. Oct. 6, Melrose Police responded to Windsor Communities on Banks Place for a report of a domestic disturbance. Jill Jones, 62, of 2 Banks Place Apt. #328, Melrose, was arrested and charged with assault and battery. A 45-year-old Melrose man was summonsed on a charge of assault and battery.
Oct. 5
4:53 a.m.: Washington Street at Crescent Avenue, caller reported hearing men fighting outside. A vehicle was towed, and an ambulance was called to the scene for transport.
8:40 a.m.: Sewall Woods Road, report of hypodermic needle found on a sidewalk. The needle was recovered and disposed of properly.
2:38 p.m.: Melrose Street at Lynn Fells Parkway, report of an accident. State Police handled the scene.
4:19 p.m.: Main Street near Hunt's Photo and Video, report of an accident.
11:56 p.m.: Highlands MBTA Station on Franklin Street, police assisted MBTA removing an alleged "unruly passenger."
Oct. 6
2:11 a.m.: Damon Avenue near Horace Mann Elementary School, report of suspicious activity. A 17-year-old was taken into protective custody.
5:16 p.m.: Main Street near Dunkin' Donuts, report of vehicle vandalism. An elderly woman's car window was reportedly smashed.
5:41 p.m.: Gould Street, report of an oven fire.
7:51 p.m.: Main Street at Woodruff Avenue, report of a hypodermic needle in the area. Needle recovered and disposed of properly.
8:36 p.m.: Main Street, report of an accident. Insurance paperwork exchanged.
10:19 p.m.: Franklin Street at Vinton Street, several reports of an accident.
