VIDEO: MedFlight Lands at Knoll For Transport to Boston

The medical helicopter landed on the East Knoll athletic field to bring a female patient from Melrose-Wakefield Hospital to a Boston hospital.

A Boston MedFlight helicopter landed on the East on Tuesday during rush hour to transport a patient to a Boston hospital, Capt. John White said on the scene.

"Some type of emergency and usually this time of day, they're not going bother around with traffic," White said. "They're going to take them by helicopter and have them in there in two minutes."

At 5:16 p.m., and Fire were told to secure a landing zone for the helicopter, according to radio transmissions. Paramedics unloaded materials from the helicopter onto a stretcher then loaded into an ambulance that took off for the hospital.
