City Hall and School Meetings: April 4-10

Melrose board, commission and committee meetings taking place this week.

The following Melrose boards, commissions and committees will meet this week. Names of boards are linked to PDFs of the agendas, if available.

Board of Aldermen

The Melrose Board of Aldermen and School Committee will hold a joint meeting on Monday at 7:30 p.m., as requested by Mayor Rob Dolan, who provide an update on the financial condition of the city; anticipated expenditures and revenues; and other information relevant to next year's budget, which he'll file with the aldermen at the full board meeting later the same evening.

The full Board of Aldermen will hold its meeting at 7:45 p.m. Earlier in the evening at 7:15 p.m., the board's Public Service and Finance committees will meet.

Park Commission

The Park Commission will meet on Monday at 7 p.m. Agenda highlight: Farm direct co-op. 

Planning Board

The board's Zoning Subcommittee will meet on Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. to discuss potential amendments to the signage section of the zoning ordinance. .

Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall Board of Trustees

Memorial Hall's Board of Trustees will meet on Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. Agenda highlight: 100th anniversary celebration.

Conservation Commission

The Conservation Commission will meet on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Agenda highlight: aquatic control contract.

SEEM Collaborative

SEEM's Board of Directors will meet on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. Agenda highlight: Beebe School lease for Therapeutic Learning Center North and East.

School Site Councils

The Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School Council will meet on Monday at 3 p.m. Agenda highlight: ideas for next year's School Improvement Plan.
