Last Chance: Signup for 'Our City' Forums by April 23

The "Our City" project is holding a series of community forums to give residents the chance to tell the city what you most like about Melrose and what city government can do to improve our quality of life.

Hundreds of events are posted on Melrose Patch each week, but how often does one pass you by that you wish you hadn't missed? Each week Melrose Patch will give you a quick reminder about an event, an important sign-up, or a looming deadline you won't want to forget.

The is holding a series of community forums to give residents the chance to tell the city what you most like about Melrose and what city government can do to improve our quality of life.

Our City is holding four forums segmented by different lifestyles—you may fall into more than one category, so the city asks you attend the session that you are most excited about participating in. The forums will be two hours in length and you will be asked to stay for the entire session. If you are unable to attend a forum, but would still like to be part of the project, alternative arrangements will be made to accommodate you.

If you would like to participate, please send an email to ourcity@cityofmelrose.org indicating the session you want to participate in or if you want to participate remotely along with your name, email or mailing address, and phone number. The deadline to respond is April 23rd. The city will contact you with the location for your session the week of April 23rd.

  • Retirees and Empty Nesters—Monday, April 30, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
  • Parents/caregivers of children under 5—Tuesday, May 1, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
  • Parents/caregivers of children over age 5—Monday, May 7, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
  • Adults without children—Tuesday, May 8, 6:30-8:30pm
