Local musicians performed at the City of Melrose Inaugural Ceremonies Monday night at Memorial Hall.

The Melrose High School Band marched out alongside the hundreds in attendance for the event and performed Francis Scott Key's "The Star-Spangled Banner."

Blue of a Kind, a local men's a cappella ensemble, sang a pair of songs, including Jean Sibelius and Veikko Antero Koskenniemi's "Finladia" and "Walk Humbly Son" by Michael R. Clem and arrangement by Bob Eggers.

Following the State of the City Address by Mayor Rob Dolan, Melrose singer Brendan Carroll performed "God Bless America", encouraging the crowd to sing along with him.
