Video: Seniors Share Thoughts On New Driver's License Regulations

The safe driving legislation that bans texting while driving and is on Gov. Deval Patrick's desk also has new requirements for seniors: drivers 75 and older must renew their licenses in person at the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV); undergo a vision test every five years; and the RMV must develop regulations that help identify cognitive or functional impairments that could effect a person's ability to drive.
