A major theme of the presidential and vice presidential debates has been the amount of lies, untruths and misstatements being put out by the candidates.
Sometimes, it's the candidates calling each other liars. Other times, it's the media or other independent fact-checking organizations letting us know when a candidate said something that may be not quite totally honest.
But does the fact checking make a difference? Do voters care if what the candidates say is true?
What do you think? Does fact checking matter anymore? Or is it a waste of time and energy?
