YMCA Organizes a Service Day in Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King

The Melrose Y and other community organizations are organizing a day of service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School students will congregate in the morning and select a project of their choice. Students will go out into the community and complete their chosen service and regroup in the afternoon to celebrate their good work and community service.

Saturday, Jan. 15:
9 a.m. Registration at Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School, 360 Lynn Fells Parkway
9:15 a.m. Travel to sites in Melrose and work until 11:45 A.M.
Noon Return to the Middle School for a celebration with pizza

Projects at sites throughout the city include: clothing drive for teens, preparation of a dinner for those in need, letters to our service men and women, collection for our service men and women, organize food pantry, spend time with elders.
