Why Go: The monthly MHS PTO meeting, in the Resource Center, features the MHS Principal's report followed by guest speaker Maureen Buzby, the Mystic Valley Tobacco Alcohol Prevention Program (MVTAP) coordinator who will "open our eyes" to OTPs (other tobacco products) available and explain the tactics used by the industry to target children.

Why Go: Melrose Arts will sponsor an evening art demo with pastel artist Andrew Anderson-Bell (www.anderson-bellstudio.com). This Ipswich artist is well known for his atmospheric pastels of farmlands, salt marshes, and scene of Maine. He is represented in Ipswich by Mixit Media Gallery and in Maine at The Mast Cove Gallery in Kennebunkport.

Why Go: This Boot Camp workout will benefit Housing Families Inc. and support the HFI 2012 Boston Marathon team. Suggested donation of $10 will be accepted upon arrival. Wear comfortable clothes and bring water. Exercise mat is optional. Cash donations and checks accepted. If paying by check, please make payable to Housing Families Inc. Why Go: and is proudly presenting the 2nd Annual Melrose Egg Hunt. This year’s event, open to all children ages 3-8, is sponsored in part by , Mayor Robert J. Dolan, and the . The Easter Bunny will be hopping on over to Melrose with more than 8,000 toy filled eggs. Grand Prize tickets this year to see Sesame Street Live at the Agganis Arena.  Extra Prize tickets to Stone Zoo’s Bunny Bonanzoo. There will also be exciting activities for the children to participate in and the Easter Bunny will be available for pictures.
