Video: Middle School Memorial Day Assembly 2011
Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School students put on the annual mix of speeches and song to honor veterans.
On Friday morning, students gathered in the auditorium to pay tribute to the veterans sitting on the stage and, more important, the veterans who could not be there for the school's annual Memorial Day Assembly. Through speeches and song, students paid tribute to the sacrifice of both fallen soldiers and living veterans. After Principal Tom Brow finished reading the names of all the veterans on the stage, the students jumped out of their seats with a standing ovation.
