VIDEO: Roosevelt 5th Graders Rap For a Grant

Melrose residents can vote for the Roosevelt School to help them win a Clorox Power a Bright Future grant to pay for a modern library and learning commons.

Fifth graders at the Roosevelt School are taking to YouTube and putting their mic skills on display to drum up votes on a grant contest.

The school is and could win up to $50,000, which would go towards a modern library and "learning commons," an area filled with books and digital devices that help kids learn.

Until Dec. 9, Melrosians ages 13 and older can visit http://www.powerabrightfuture.com/gallery/detail/?nid=1063 to register and vote once a day for the Roosevelt. Votes can also be cast via mobile phone by texting clorox1767 to 44144.
