Whiz Kid: Irish Step Dancer Mia Francazio

The eighth grader will compete in Dublin this month with other members of the O'Shea Chaplin Academy of Irish Dance.

  • Melrose Patch Whiz Kid of the Week: Mia Francazio, 13
  • Accomplishment: Mia will compete in the All Irelands, an international Irish Step competition in Dublin, Ireland, Feb. 11 through Feb. 18, with other members of the O'Shea Dance Academy.

How she did it: Mia has been dancing at the academy for more than 10 years, said her mother, Carla Francazio. She has won several dance competitions, and she danced during .
