Whiz Kid: SEEM Assistant Alex Wilson

The Melrose High graduate was hired for a summer job at The Riley School after excelling at an internship.

Melrose Patch Whiz Kid of the Week: Alex Wilson

  • School:
  • Accomplishment: The Ripley School hired Wilson to be a teacher's assistant for a five-week summmer program after he "showed great enthusiasm and commitment to the students and staff" during an internship at the SEEM Collaborative Hurd Elementary Program. 
  • How he did it: The students think Alex is “fun and really nice," and the teachers appreciate his flexibility and willingness to help, according to Jen Thornton, the principal of the SEEM Hurd Program.
