• Accomplishment: Alex is one of 49 girls to qualify for the 2012 Girls Individual State Golf Championship that will be held June 5 at The Bay Club in Mattapoisett.
• What's next for her: Alex has been named captain of next year's Melrose Boy's Varsity Golf Team.
