17th Annual 5K EMARC Road Race

EMARC partners with Marathon Sports to kick off the 17th Annual 5K on Sunday, September 11th 2011 at 10 a.m. in Melrose. The 5K takes place in downtown Melrose and acts as the kickoff to the annual Victorian Fair, which attracts over 14,000 people.

The purpose of the road race is to raise funds for EMARC’s programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Last year’s 5K brought in over 300 participants from surrounding communities.

“We are thrilled to be able to partner with Marathon Sports for our 17th annual road race, says Amy O’Brien, Director of Marketing and Development for EMARC. “This is a great opportunity for individuals, families, and businesses to come together and support a great cause while having fun,” says O’Brien.
