Registration forms and fees can be submitted Aug. 16-25.

Melrose High School's sports user fees won't change for the 2010-2011 school year, Melrose Athletic Director Pat Ruggiero announced this week along with fall sports registration information.

The fees are as follows: first sport, $225; second sport, $150; and third sport, $100. The cap for each family is $700.

Registration forms are available online and at the main office of the high school. For the fall sports season, those forms and fees should be submitted to the athletic office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. starting Monday, Aug. 16 through Thursday, Aug. 19, or from Monday, Aug. 23 through Wednesday, Aug. 25. Check should be made payable to Melrose High School.

Once all paperwork and fees are received a clearance card will be issued; students must bring a clearance card to practice or tryouts in order to participate.

Football paperwork and fees have an earlier deadline and must be submitted by Thursday, Aug. 19 in order to attend tryouts that begin on Monday, Aug. 23. All other fall sports will open Thursday, Aug. 26.
