MHS V-Ball Team Heading to State Championship
The team will battle Longmeadow High School for the title this Saturday.
Melrose High School volleyball will play in the state championships at Algonquin Regional High School Saturday, after beating the previously undefeated Canton High School 3-0 Tuesday.
The girls played a tough game, scoring 25-16, 25-21 and 25-18 over Canton.
The Melrose Lady Raiders Volleyball blog reported the game had a "slow start," but praised player Cassidy Barbaro for her "rocket serves" that brought the team from trailing 5-3 to leading 12-6.

The team will play Longmeadow High School, who beat Fairhaven 3-2.
