Looking for a fast and fun getaway from Melrose this weekend? Summer in New England is filled with options. Check out what's happening this weekend in a few favorite summer spots:

Cape Cod and the Islands

Weather: Sunny skies on both Saturday and Sunday with high temperatures approaching 80, and lows at night in the mid-60s.

: Over 100 of New England’s finest
craftsmen and women will display and sell their American made arts and crafts from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Hyannis' Village Green. There are also gourmet delights to sample, live music and craft demonstrations throughout each day. Free admission.

Rhode Island

WeatherSunny skies this weekend with high temperatures approaching 80, and lows at night in the mid-60s.

: C'mon get happy. The Sunset Music Series welcomes 70s teen idol and singer songwriter David Cassidy to the Newport Yachting Center on Saturday at 6 p.m. Standard tickets are $24, preferred tickets are $44.

Seacoast New Hampshire

Weather: Sun all weekend with high temperatures around 80 degrees and lows at night around 60.

45th Annual Stratham Fair: The annual fair has entertainment for all ages each day, midway rides, music and magic arts, arts and fine crafts and more. Gates open at 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. A single day pass is $8 for adults and $5 for kids 6-12 or seniors over 65.
