The Week Ahead: Safety Classes, Mayor's Night Out

A look at some events in and around Melrose this upcoming week.

Why Go: Children 4 to 6 will learn about safety in a fun through hands-on activities. Topics covered include bicycle safety, first aid band-aid, fire attire, weather worries, pedestrian place, animal mayhem, stranger danger and playground playmates. This program is free to the community. 

Price: A $25 check is required for registration. if your child attends all three days you will recieve your check on the last day.

Why Go: Get through an 60-minute workout with support from classmates and instructor Joy Fay.

Why Go: Learn how to defend yourself against acts of violence. Go alone or bring a date. 

Price: $10 for singles; $15 per couple.

Why Go: Children entering kindergarten through fifth grade are welcome to do noodle art, paper sculptures and picture frame art.

Why Go: Mayor Dolan invites residents to have free slush, check out vendor tables, enjoy face painting and play games and activities
