What:
A food packaging event that will create 50,000 meals in cooperation with the Day of Service in
Melrose in honor of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The assembly process combines rice, soy, dehydrated
vegetables and a flavoring mix including 21 essential vitamins and minerals
into small meal packages. These meal packages are shipped around the world to
support school feeding programs and crisis relief. The food stores easily,
transports quickly and has a shelf-life of five years.

Donate Funds:
We are raising .25 for each meal we package. Just imagine
that 30 dollars would feed a student for the whole month. If you would consider
skipping your morning coffee for 30 days, just imagine what impact those funds
would offer toward our project. This is a big undertaking and we trust that
your generosity will help us meet this goal. We will be accepting checks made
payable to Stop Hunger Now or cash donations may be brought toFirst United Methodist Church or given to Diana Heise. (heisefamily@live.com)
