Halloween Costume Party Kicks Off Sunday at Mt. Hood Clubhouse

Check out a sampling of five Melrose area activities going on between Oct. 26-27.

Here are five things going on in the Melrose area between Oct. 26-27:

1. There will be a Halloween costume party from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 at the Mount Hood Clubhouse in Melrose, according to Mayor Rob Dolan's office.

2. The second annual Party in Pink fundraiser is set for 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 at Corinthian Hall, according to an event posting on Melrose Patch.

3. The Melrose Dog Society will be having a Halloween Costume Party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 at the Melrose Dog Park, 350 Lynn Fells Parkway, according to the group's Facebook page. Prizes will be awarded to the best costumes in different categories including scariest, cutest and most original, and raffles will also be going on during the event.

4. Malden YMCA's Halloween Spooktacular is set for 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Malden YMCA, according to an event posting on Malden Patch. Wander through a haunted hallway in your costume, or get your face painted and kids can also take advantage of a Bounce House that will be at the Y. The cost of the event is $6 for adults, $6 for first child ($4 for second) and $8 for non-YMCA members.

5. Malden Public Library will be hosting a kids Halloween party at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, according to an event posting on Malden Patch. The party is for children ages 3-10.
