Weekend Agenda: Melrose Church to Host Tree Lighting for Childhood Cancer Awareness

Check out a sampling of five events and activities set for Sept. 21-22 in Melrose.

Here is a sample of five things going on from Sept. 21-22 in Melrose:

1. The First Baptist Church in Melrose will be lighting a tree gold for childhood cancer awareness at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, according to an event posting on Melrose Patch.

2. There is a Melrose Boot Camp workout session scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at Knoll Field across from Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School, according to the Melrose Education Foundation website. The workout will serve as a fundraiser for the foundation. The cost is $10 per person, or $25 per family.

3. There is a Night Out party planned for 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Beebe Estate, according to the Melrose Education Foundation website. The cost is $25 per person.

4. The Millennium Wrestling Federation will be celebrating their 12th anniversary with an event at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at Memorial Hall, according to an event posting on Melrose Patch. All proceeds will go to support OneFundBoston.

5. The Polymnia Choral Society's Diamond Jubilee Cabaret has two shows set for 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at Temple Beth Shalom, according to an event posting on Melrose Patch.
