Your Guide: EMARC 5K Road Race in Melrose

Find out when and where the EMARC 5K Road Race will be taking place in Melrose this weekend.

The 19th annual EMARC 5K Road Race is set for this weekend in Melrose, according to the Running in the U.S.A. website.

The race day event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8 at the Melrose Family YMCA. 

"The 19th annual EMARC 5K acts as the kickoff for the annual Melrose Victorian Fair," reads the website. "Proceeds from the run benefit EMARC's recreation programs for children and adults with disabilities."

As part of the event, there is a Kid's Fun Run and a 5K for individuals or teams to participate in. The Kid's Fun Run is free, while the 5K costs $30 per person.

Race bibs can be picked up at Marathon Sports, 401 Main St., at the following times:

  • Friday, Sept. 6 from 12-6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 7 from 12-5 p.m.
  • Sunday, Sept. 8 from 8-9:45 a.m. at Melrose Family YMCA only
