This place should be called Absolutely OK. I have been twice and after seeing them post about upcoming events this weekend I had to write. The first time I went with my husband and we were promptly greeting by an over perfumed hostess. The food was ok us being there. My husband liked his dish, he had the veal special, and I had the chicken ziti and broccoli. It was a bit salty. We tried to order wine from the wine list but every bottle we wanted was sold out. The waitress offered no reason as to why. We ended up ordering cocktails instead. We paid our bill and left. I said I would go back again. About a month later some girlfriends and I were going out and one really wanted to try it. This time there was a different hostess. She was rude. No hello or how are you just: “Do you have a reservation?” When we replied no she was flabbergasted, cut us off and walked away. She came back to us and told us we were lucky she could squeeze us in. We were sat right next to the ladies room. Our waiter this time around was much nicer. Again we tried to order a bottle of wine, but this time the waiter had explained they were in the process of redoing the wine and cocktail menu. Then this awful band started to play. In the middle of our conversation some woman came over with a clipboard and begged us to sign it for the bands mailing list, that was our cue to leave and never return! Not worth the price or the aggravation!

I had the pleasure of attending a Guest Bartending fundraising event on Tuesday night! The generosity of the owner and staff is amazing - and the food and music was incredible! Thank you for all you do for the community!

Best food and drink in Melrose. Service is either outstanding or....depending on who you are dealing with . Lori and Lina are warm and gracious. Jason and Lindsay are worth the trip for their personality and knowledge of their trade.Music is eclectic and fine. Don't miss the Meatballs! or the Manhattan Chowder! and don't forget to make a reservation!! OR ELSE! : )
