We ordered a washer and dryer from Hugo's thinking it would be easier to deal with a neighborhood business than Sears. We live three blocks away so we thought delivery would be easier too. Big mistake. Our appliances were delivered 9 hours after they told us they would be; as a result of the lateness, our plumber could not hook them up for 2 more days. Then we discovered the washer didn't work and needed repair. So far the repairman has cancelled on us twice - the first time after making us wait four hours, then calling at the end of the window and saying he couldn't make it. It's now 10 days out (coincidentally, now delayed past the window where we could return it) and he has still not been too see it.
My husband and I work full time; we can't take any more days off from work to wait for Hugo's to get their act together. Additionally, these delays (on their part) have resulted in us now being past the window where we can return it.
I wouldn't be surprised if we had to load it in the back of our station wagon, drive it to the dump ourselves, and THEN order from Sears - nearly a thousand dollars down the drain. Avoid Hugo's.
