Opened in 1996, the Melrose Running Club (MRC) is a nonprofit organization that promotes the sport of running, while simultaneously supporting various charities that, in turn, support Melrosians.

A member of the Road Runner's Club of America, the MRC holds a variety of annual events—such as the 'Melrose Run for Women', which raises funds for the Melrose Alliance Against Violence and 'The Assault on Mt. Hood', which raises funds each winter to benefit Housing Families, Inc. and other local charities.

Club members meet for a run every Tuesday evening at the Melrose Knights of Columbus at 7pm, with two routes for the summer and winter, respectively.

  • Scope: Local
  • Membership info: Individual membership fees are $25 per year. Family membership is $40 per year. Membership fees due upon joining the club and are renewable each year on June 1.

The MRC is a welcoming club for all skill levels. There are all age groups, genders and types of runners, from social to competitive.

It's a great community that has a lot of fun together. Why run alone!
