Driving along Lynn Fells Parkway toward the Bellevue Golf Club, you might miss the charming little Colby Park. EvenMore though this park is positioned right next to the Lynn Fells Parkway, you'd never know it. A line of hedges cuts this tranquil park off from the noise and excitement on Lynn Fells.

The park is neatly tucked in a corner between Larchmont Road and Lincoln Street, completely cut off from the outside world. With its open space, perfectly placed trees and occasional chirping birds, it's the perfect place to come to relax.

If you want to bring a four-legged companion, make sure it's on a leash. There is limited street parking, but it's well worth the trip.

This state-of-the-art facility is home to the Melrose High School baseball team. It has batting cages, a bullpen andMore a partially padded fence. Located directly behind the high school on the corner of Lynn Fells Parkway and Tremont Street, it's an easy walk to the game for both parents and students.

There are more than enough seats to accommodate all the Red Raider fans, but please don't smoke or bring your dog to the game. There are designated handicap spaces on the street, but street parking is limited. There is parking available at Melrose High School and at the Knolls Soccer Complex, but it is a good 10-minute walk to get to the field from those spots.

Lyons Courts

These three tennis courts located at the corner of Lynn Fells Parkway and Tremont Street see plenty of action. ThereMore is street parking around the courts, but from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., Monday to Friday, it's limited to one hour. If you plan on playing longer, try parking at the Knolls Soccer Complex parking lot, only about half a mile up the road. 

There is plenty of open space to let your dog run and play. It makes for a nice setting as an oak tree provides plenty of shade for the back two courts.

DesForges Park
Melrose St & Crystal St, Melrose, MA 02176

This picturesque park is small and quaint, with a bench sits seemingly worlds from nearby Lynn Fells Parkway, lookingMore out over the beautiful Ell Pond. 

The quiet park is adjacent to both the Crystal Street Tennis Courts and Knolls Soccer Complex, but the surrounding plant life keeps this a very serene setting. There is limited street parking on Crystal Street, and more in the Knolls Soccer Complex lot.
