The walkways and benches within the park give you a majestic view of the gorgeous Ell Pond. On a nice day, it's a good idea to take your lunch break on one of the many benches that are placed alongside the pond. There is also a gazebo in the middle of the park. And along the park's walkway, there is a Vietnam memorial, dedicated to the soldiers of Melrose who lost their lives in battle.
You should easily be able to find street parking but, during the week, there's a two-hour limit from 8am - 6pm.

The quiet park is adjacent to both the Crystal Street Tennis Courts and Knolls Soccer Complex, but the surrounding plant life keeps this a very serene setting. There is limited street parking on Crystal Street, and more in the Knolls Soccer Complex lot.

However, if you are just playing a pick-up game on the field, non-permitted games and other users must relinquish the field immediately upon the arrival of permitted teams or users.
Leashed dogs are allowed around the field, but never on the pitch. The complex is situated right alongside Ell Pond and even though birds tend to land on the outskirts of the field, be sure not to feed them.
