Ovi Wants to Celebrate with You

Happy New Year! I certainly hope you will have something good to celebrate as we enter 2013.  I, on the other hand, am not in the mood because I won’t have anyone to be with to watch the ball drop or to kiss me at the stroke of midnight. But, you go ahead and have a good time. I don’t mind. I will just stay here at PetSmart and wait for someone to fall in love with me and take me home.  It’s not a big deal.  I am not a party guy anyway.  Not really.  Well, ok, maybe a little.   I’ll just have to postpone my celebration until I have a real home with people who love me and toys to play with and a warm chair or lap for when I get tired out.  It’s not the champagne and streamers I will miss--although, I could really get into chasing those …

Sacagawea: Beautiful, Brave and Ready to make History My name is Sacagawea, and my days exploring in the wild are over.  Like my namesake, the brave, pregnant, Shoshone girl who guided Lewis and Clark on their expedition, I was quite the outdoors woman, giving birth in a backyard and evading my trappers for two months. But now that I am in a PAWS foster home, with all the comforts that brings, I realize that the indoor life is the one for me. So, you may ask, what’s so great about staying inside? First of all, I love all the cool toys, especially the ones with catnip and anything that rolls.
