Penguin is a fuzzy kitten, not a bird in a tuxedo.
Hello, my name is Penguin and I'm a lively, six-month-old kitten. My markings may remind my foster of a real penguin, but I much prefer a warm, snuggly place with you to an ice floe in Antarctica or a beach in the Galapagos. Actually, I was brought in from the cold outdoors when I was only 12 weeks old, so I do have outdoor experience and I can tell you now that I'm done with that. Life indoors on the warm and cozy side of the window pane is the life for me. Here on the inside, I find that toys are the most fun. I can’t resist anything on a string, any catnip mouse, and that red dot that always seems to get away. And, I am finding people more and more interesting. They all ooh and ahh over my adorable fluffiness (who knew I was so cute?). …

Beary is Sweet as Honey
Adopt Beary and Take Home a Real Sweetheart Everyone loves me. I can tell that because they all say how cute and sweet I am. Some call me a doll, which frankly, is not so appropriate since I am a dog and a boy one at that. But they are right about me being special. Who wouldn’t love me? I am small in stature (the size of a very large cat) and big in heart. I just love meeting everyone because I adore people. I am always ready to play, to follow you around, to be your friend and to do doggie things with you. Did I say that I love people? I do. You may be wondering how a nice dog, like me, ended up homeless. My story is sad, so you better sit down and pull out a hankie. I was (and still am) very much loved by two wonderful people…

Will you adopt this sweet cat?
My name is Lightning and I am a stunning, young cat who is more than ready to get some me time. I don’t know why they call me Lightning, because if I am fast, it is only because I have been dashing after kittens. Babies, babies, babies, oh my. Mine were lovely, but I am so done with being a mother. Now I want someone to mother me. What do I mean by mothering me? Well, I love to be patted. I love to be scratched behind my ears and stroked from my neck all the way down to my tail. I am so sleek and smooth your hand will glide right over me like, well, like lightning. Maybe we can even make a few sparks on dry days. When we meet, I hope you will take the time to get to know me because I can be shy at first. But once I have scoped you out, I …

Will you adopt this friendly cat?
My name is Winter, but I am not the least bit like that season. I am all spring, sweet and happy and loving, the kind of kitty who will sit on your lap and purr and purr. The kind of girl who likes to be scratched, rubbed, and petted in all those good cat spots (ears, chin, neck, etc.). In this very cold end of January, I am a tiger who will bring a lot of warmth into your home. Did I say tiger? Not a real one silly! I am actually a torbie because of my range of colors (orange, brown, grey, cream) mixed with tiger stripes. Did I mention I am young? Maybe 8 months old. Some would say that is an awkward age, stuck between childhood and adulthood. But I would say it is the perfect age. I have all the energy and fun of a kitten, but I am …

Will you adopt this sweet cat?
Striker is Goofy and Fun, with Movie Star Charisma Striker is my name, but sweetness is my game. That is right, I am a beautiful, adorable, handsome, sweet, funny, and loads of fun. Oh, I am also a very modest guy, so I won’t toot my own horn. I will just let you look at my pictures. I can be goofy, or serious, or very chill as you can see. That is me, all me. Ok, I am not a small guy. But hey, there is lots of me to love. I like my kibble and I like it often. I will sit, patiently shifting my weight from right to left and squinting my eyes at you until you get the message and give me a treat. I want your attention, true. But, I want that treat even more, thank you very much. I also love, love, love to be held. If you pick me up, I will …

Mumtaz is a beautiful Siamese cat.
Meowee. Did you hear me? I want to talk to you! My name is Mumtaz and I am trying to have a conversation. I am a Siamese, so I really do want to talk. We do that. But we are also very balanced cats. We are not shrill, we are not crazy, and we like people. I love people. I had the same owner for 13 years until she got too old to care for me. I miss her. But I am trying to be realistic. I can’t be with her, so I need to find a new home. Did you hear me? I am talking to you. Meoooow, Mrumph. Let me tell you a bit more about me. I am a purebred, Applehead, Siamese cat. I am like the cat that came to this country from Siam, as a present from the king. I am the real royalty as you must realize since I have the same name as the …

Forget the Spruce, Pick a Sequoia this Season
Look at me under the Christmas tree! With a name like Sequoia, I think I should have been photographed under my own tree. But, of course, sequoia trees grow mostly in California, and I am definitely a Massachusetts cat. I was found in Reading and rescued by PAWS with the help of a very nice lady who was feeding me. I wish my previous owners had kept me in the house so I would not have gotten lost. But I do consider myself one lucky cat to be spending the holidays inside. The only thing that would make me happier would be to be with a forever family of my own. As I said, I was found outside with a kitten named Hickory (who is already adopted!). They thought Hickory was my baby, but in fact, when I was spayed last week, they discovered…

Lilo Bunny Wants to Hop Right into Your Heart
Sniff, sniff, sniff ... hello nice person. My name is Lilo and I am a one-year-old mini lop eared bunny who really likes people. And people seem to like me, too. I guess it is because I am quite cute with my hanging ears, beautiful harlequin markings, and sweet, twitchy, bunny nose. Rabbits just don’t get much cuter than I am, if I do say so myself. You might think I am a bit biased. But really, I am just a very happy and social boy who enjoys life and dreams of a wonderful home. So, you are asking yourself: Why do I need a bunny in my life? Well, I am just a bundle of pure joy. My favorite thing to do is to stick my nose out of my cage and ask to be patted. Whenever anyone is around, this is what I do. I also like to play. There are toys…

Looking for a new pet? Consider adopting one of these from PAWS.
It’s Party Season and Cats in Tuxedos are Set to Join in the Fun Did you say party? My name is Tuxedo Tom and I am ready to go. Dressed up in my beautiful shiny, black coat, lovely, white ascot and stunning, amber eyes, I always look my best. Yet, I am really not a formal guy. Instead of going out, I would rather sit on your feet when you are at the computer or by your side when you are watching TV. On the other hand, I’m also not a couch potato. I love to play, especially with toys that I can hunt and stalk. So, if we do go to the dance, you should know that I would want to lead. My foster mom says that makes me lots of fun to live with and she always tells me I am amazing. While I am clearly the most elegant, I do have …

PAWS' Pumpkin Patch is Full of Orange Tabbies who are Ripe and Ready to Go Home with You
Adopt out of our Pumpkin Patch: Orange Tabbies are Ripe and Ready to Go Hi, my name is Carberry and as you can see, I am a beautiful five-year-old orange tabby. I have to say, I am delighted Halloween is over since I keep getting confused for a pumpkin. Must be my beautiful orange coat and the way I sit around and purr. Ok, I am large, fourteen pounds (all brawn) and I guess when I curl up, I look just like a jack-o-lantern. But really, what pumpkin purrs, is beautiful and laid back and gets along well with dogs and well-behaved cats? The best news of all about me is that PAWS is lowering adoption fees on certain cats just for this weekend. I see I am on that list. I am happy about that because I so very much want a home of …
