Merlot needs a home. Will it be yours?
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Just look at this gorgeous face. Merlot is our movie star cat, with her attention-seeking ways, even in the midst of another cat's photo shoot, here comes Merlot to block the camera’s view. At about one year old, sweet Merlot is on the small side, all black with a dab of white on her chest, her thick sable-like coat can be addictive to the touch. Whenever the opportunity arises, Merlot seeks out a lap, just wanting to be near. Her story: She entered into a cat trap meant for another, was not spayed and nobody claimed her. Merlot is comfortable with being picked up and will approach even strangers for attention. We get a sense she wasn’t handled a lot because …

Will you adopt Louise?
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] As the temperature drops and winter takes its frigid hold, cat rescue people don’t sleep well. We hear the wind whipping and worry about the homeless kittens and cats outside. We find comfort in cats like Louise, ones we are able to rescue due to a kind soul who spotted a mom and kittens and never gave up finding help. The owner never spayed their cat, instead moved and left her behind. So Louise and her siblings were born in a condo complex environment, behind a tall fence in a tangled patch of forest, seeking shelter in the crevices of a cliff. Rescued at three months old, Louise’s foster mom has done a wonderful job of showing her that people represent …

Together with HomeAgain’s recovery system, you’ll give your lost pet the best chance of coming back home. How Micro Chipping Works. Dog and cat micro-chipping is a simple procedure. A veterinarian simply injects a microchip about the size of a grain of rice beneath the surface of your pet’s skin. Similar to a routine shot, the injection takes only a few seconds and your pet will not react any more than if it was a vaccination. The microchip is a permanent pet ID …

Will you adopt this playful duo of kittens?
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Are you ready for some pure kitten energy? Well, we have it, packed into these adorable kittens. Saved just in time, from living a life outside, they are more than ready for their forever homes. And while they wait, they are stirring up lots of fun adventures with their very high energy level, scampering all around. At about eight months young, these shiny black beauties are well named – TNT, we have T (male) and NT (female). These busy siblings are extremely affectionate (lapcats, snugglers, purrers) are very confident and come running to you, not shy in the least. They do not need to be adopted out together, but if so, it would double the fun, keeping each …

Will you adopt this friendly feline?
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] I’m Toby, a handsome young tabby playboy, about a year old and stunning enough for a cat magazine, with my gray soft fur and streaks of black. I just love to play and can often be heard chasing a rubber ball or seen soaring high after a wand toy. Take the time to play with me and I will love you even more. I might have a touch of coon cat in me, with my fluffy tail and furry ears and paw pads. I enjoy being picked up and a good ear scratching. Not the shy type, I will greet anyone who visits, rubbing up against them to show my affectionate side. When being petted, I have a purr that never ends and will lie down and roll all around. I’m not much into meowing and…

This Siamese cat needs a loving owner.
[Editor's note: The following information derives from Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Chapel was found in a church manger back in December of 2011. This sweet girl is still with us, and needs a home for the holidays. A homeless cat and kittens, seeking shelter in a manger on a cold winter night: this is Chapel's Christmas story. The kittens found a home, however Chapel still lingers in foster care, one year later. With her black silky fur and stunning golden eyes, she is a little over two years old, a mix of Siamese in her. Chapel went into a quiet foster home, one room with other cats that came and went. Springtime offered Chapel a new foster home that worked on her shyness and fear of people, introduced her to new cats, dogs, children and …

This friendly Maine coon cat needs a loving home.
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Life has many different chapters for us all. We can only guess the first few of Tolstoy’s life. Named after his foster mom’s favorite writer, Leo Tolstoy, both share a large stock frame and wise ways. The chapter we do know: It took four long months of feeding and gaining trust to trap this wise cat. Filthy and matted, you could feel each rib on his scrawny frame. Turn the page, and now this gorgeous Maine coon cat mix, with his black, gray and white soft fur, is close to his ideal weight. Believed to be about two to three years young, he follows his foster mom around and she often catches him gazing upon her. Tolstoy would likely get along with any animal or …

This friendly feline needs a loving home to go to.
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Introducing Cher. “Do you believe in life after love?” Well, Cher knew love from humans, but then was cast outside when her owner moved. While in and out of different foster homes, she now resides in a place that can offer her space to roam, trim down her figure and blossom her into a shining star. And shining she is, showing off her sweet loving and gentle ways. At first, she hid under the bed, but in a short time, she showed just how affectionate she is, as she loves to sleep with her foster mom and enjoys back and forth conversations. At about two years old, she is so pretty to look at; a blend of white, light and dark gray fur. Cher does OK with dogs and …

This shy duo needs a caring home to go to.
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Ahoy there! Come aboard and meet our pirate kittens, Captain and Morgan. Upon laying eyes on them, you might want to shout, “Well shiver me timbers!” because together, these adorable mates share a pair of eyes. That’s right, Captain has the left one and his sister, the right one. However, they can run with the best of them, with their amusing kitten energy. Before saved, both lived a harsh outside life, constant pain from infected eyes. Because someone spotted them and took action, they became the lucky ones. Both kittens are healthy and stunning. Captain has a beautiful blend of gray and white fur. His right eye had to be removed because it was so infected. …

This sweet girl loves attention.
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Candy. Just the word can elicit sweet childhood memories: a mouthful of gumballs, un-wrapping your favorite chocolate bar, zipping you back to an easier time. Our sweet Candy girl had an easier life until her owner became ill and the family decided to give up their two young cats (Candy’s less than 18 months old). However, they kept their kitten. Candy is waiting to fill your world with sweet new memories. So friendly and affectionate, she just wants to be close. Candy is stunning; with her white diamond face, pretty caramel and chocolate colorings, tabby stripes on her head and tail but not on her body; unique for a tabby. Her short, pretty fur compliments …
