Second on the list of businesses Melrose Patch readers would like to see open in 2013 was an independent bookstore.
After asking you, our readers, what business you'd like to see open in Melrose in 2013, the majority wanted to see a brew pub set up shop in the city. Five votes were cast in favor of a brew pub opening in Melrose to top the list. "A decent brew pub-type place would do great. Someplace where one can go and have a really decent (not gourmet) burger and beer, nothing fancy," wrote reader Steve. "A few different local microbrews ... There's even a perfect spot for it right across from the Mobil station!" Fellow reader bh75 added: "A restaurant with a decent bar serving local craft beers like Jack's Abby, Night Shift, Pretty Things, etc. Something more than just Sam Adams." Let’s let Patch solve this problem, and put together a reference guide of hotspots in Melrose. Starting this week, I will be holding office hours to encourage readers to chat Patch, share ideas and get help with the site. My only requirement? Although amazing coffee is a close second, the only need-to-have is wireless Internet. If you know a business that offers wireless internet in Melrose, share it in the comments. Once we have that list, I will update our directory as well as put…
