Defending Champ Burlington Knocks Melrose From Postseason

A strong campaign by the Melrose High School boys' hockey team came to a close on Thursday in the semifinal round of the North Division 1 boys hockey playoffs, as Burlington won 3-0 at Chelmsford Forum.

Burlington is the defending Division 1 boys' hockey champion. And on Thursday night, the Red Devils showed Melrose High School why. Despite a strong performance by the Red Raiders, Burlington skated to a 3-0 victory in the North Division 1 semifinal contest inside Chelmsford Forum, though the game was 1-0 for much of the contest. With the setback, Melrose ended its season at 12-8-4. The team reached the semifinal game with an upset of No. 1 seed Chelmsford earlier in the week.
