The city of Melrose recently formed an Early Childhood Committee to provide a resource to parents and caregivers with children under the age of 5. "As you may know, this is one of the city's fastest growing demographics, and I believe it is important to provide a centralized location of resources for this group of residents," said Mayor Rob Dolan in a press statement. The formation of the committee was identified as one of the city's biggest needs during the Our City focus groups, according to the statement.
