Founded in memory of the late vice principal of Melrose High School, Peter Garipay, the Peter E. Garipay Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all people in the community, according to the statement. With the recent passing of former Melrose High School Assistant Principal Peter Garipay, we'd like to know: How will you remember Peter Garipay? Garipay, who served as assistant principal at the Melrose High School for 20 years (1972-1992), passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, after a lengthy illness, according to his obituary. He was 71.
