It appears another major winter storm is headed to the region this weekend, but just exactly how much snow Melrose will get appears to be up in the air. Chris Lambert of WHDH said the snow is expected to start between 4 and 7 p.m. Saturday. Rain will be mixed in with snow along the coast, according to Lambert, and that will be changed over to wet snow by Sunday morning. Forecasters say Melrose area could get 8-12 inches of snow.
Once again, the snow is melting. But once again, don't put the shovels away: the weekend could bring more snow to the Melrose area. A new snowstorm is headed our way for Saturday and Sunday, forecasters say, and Melrose could see 8 to 12 inches of new snow before it's done. On his blog, WHDH meteorologist Pete Bouchard is calling for light rain along the coast Saturday with snow inland and snow across the region by Sunday morning. "Heavy snow through early morning Sunday. Roads will be tough to travel, and yes, your flight will most likely be delayed or cancelled. (Although I don't run an airline, so I'll let them have the final word.)," Bouchard writes.
