A home on West Wyoming Avenue was shot multiple times late Thursday night, according to unconfirmed scanner reports. At roughly 11:45 p.m. Thursday, Melrose Police responded to 19 West Wyoming Ave. after receiving several calls about shots fired in the area, according to the reports. At least four bullet holes were found in the home, including one in the door and another through the window, according to the reports. Police canvassed the area and no one was injured during the shooting, according to the reports. Police reviewed a traffic camera and the possible suspect vehicle, described as a newer model, four-door white Tacoma pickup truck with tinted windows, was seen traveling south on Main Street toward Malden, according to the reports. …

The same suspect that recently committed five armed robberies, including one in Melrose, in the area attempted a sixth Sunday night at a Main Street convenience store in Stoneham, according to Stoneham Detective Christopher Dalis. At 9:21 p.m. on Veterans Day, police responded to a report of an attempted armed robbery at the C-Store, 41 Main St. in Stoneham. "(The) suspect brandished a handgun; however, did not get any cash," Dalis said. "Clerk did not mace the suspect but did throw a cup of 'chili powder' in his face." The suspect fled the store toward George Street, according to Dalis, and a Massachusetts State Police K-9 unit was called in. Since Oct. 30, five Melrose area businesses have been robbed at gunpoint, and police believe it's the same person.
Recently, five armed robberies have occurred at Melrose area businesses and police believe the suspect in each case is the same person. Since Oct. 30, five armed robberies—including one at the DB Mart convenience store and another at Sunset Tanning in Stoneham—have taken place in the area, including one in Melrose, Winchester and Woburn, according to investigators. The suspect is described as being a white male, approximately 5-foot-8, wearing a black hat, black mask, black sweat shirt, black gloves, black running pants with a white stripe down the leg and black sneakers with white soles, according to Stoneham Detective Christopher Dalis. A suspect led police on a high-speed chase on Interstate 93 late Thursday night, according to a scanner report. Shortly before midnight, State Police attempted to stop a driver allegedly traveling over 100 miles per hour on the highway, according to the report. The suspect was last seen by a detail officer at Route 28 and Pond Street in Stoneham, according to the report. Stoneham and Melrose police were notified about the incident, the report added. State and Melrose police were standing by at the suspect's residence on Pleasant Street in Melrose, according to a Twitter report. We'll provide an update once we obtain more information.

A knife-wielding man allegedly tried to rob the Dunkin' Donuts at 2 Lynn Fells Parkway Thursday, according to police. The same man was also spotted at a Dunkin' Donuts on Franklin Street shortly before the attempted armed robbery.
Stoneham detectives are looking for a man who appeared in two Dunkin' Donuts—the second of which he attempted to rob at knifepoint—in Stoneham Thursday, according to police. At 3:54 p.m., police responded to the Dunkin' Donuts on Franklin Street after an employee called about a suspicious man in the store. "The employee in the store thought they recognized him from a past robbery," said Lieutenant Jim McIntyre. "He became nervous and ended up leaving the store.
