In addition to my traditional education, I have trained extensively in holistic nutrition and natural healing. Food is medicine and there has never been a better time to learn about what foods are best for you. Scientific research keeps documenting the healing benefits of many foods. Before becoming a nutritionist I taught chemistry. I loved teaching and was good at it. I enjoyed finding ways to make it easy for my students to learn. However, my passion has always been food and nutrition. When I was in high school, I wanted to take the cooking classes that were offered, but my mother signed me up for the science track. I made the best of it.

Today I am grateful that I was steered in the right direction. Now, I know how the body works and what foods are needed to get the healthy reactions in your body, i.e. boost metabolism, eliminate cravings, decrease inflammation. And, since my mother was more than happy to let me cook, I know how to cook healthy food that tastes great.
