On the article Yelp's Top 10 Restaurants in Tiverton and Little Compton: Do You Agree?

Erin Tiernan

Yelp is a user-generated listings website, meaning the only restaurants that are included are the ones that residents, tourists and other Tiverton-Little Compton visitors decided to write about. The ratings system is based solely on those reviews as well. Our idea with this article was to perhaps inspire some Patch readers to include their favorite local jaunts on Yelp to help drum up some more business for small business eateries. Patch encourages you to head over to Yelp and add some reviews to change the lineup to reflect what you and other locals think.

ReplyThe estimate is actually $15,000, not $50,000. I apologize for the typo. I heard it wrong in the council meeting on Monday ad will change te article to reflect the correct amount shortly. I am on the road in meetings for the morning so this was the quickest means for updating! Again, I apologize for the error.

On the article Tiverton School Budget Funds Full-Time Resource Officer

3:07 pm on Wednesday, March 13, 2013
Taking into account weekends and holidays, the officer will work about 270 days a year, according to Supt. William Rearick. As the officer will only be at the school for 180 of those days, the school department will pay 75 percent of that $70,000 salary - or $50,400. As the officer will work for the town during the rest of the year, the town will pay the remainder of the salary.
