  President Obama's proposal will do nothing to curb gun violence. All it will do is penalize law abiding citizens. Criminals will still use guns to commit crimes as they do now because they don't care about the gun laws that are in effect now much less any additional laws. Remember guns don't kill people, People kill people. The same as drunk drivers kill people, not automobiles.
