Free July 4th Concert at Mount Hood Memorial Park has been Re-Scheduled to Saturday, July 5th
The Mt. Hood Park Association has re-scheduled its concert to Saturday, July 5th at 6:45 pm in front of the clubhouse at Mount Hood Memorial Park, 100 Slayton Road, Melrose, MA and sponsored in part by a grant from the Melrose Arts Council.
Festivities will begin at 6:45 pm with the Middlesex Concert Band providing music. This year's music program promises to be an exciting selection of new songs highlighting the patriotic theme of the day as well as popular show tunes. We are also delighted to have back Carissa Scudieri, a graduate of Berklee College Music and a 5 time champion of the television show, Community Auditions, to sing some of the show tunes with the band.
Popcorn and lemonade will be provided to children compliments of the Golf Management Co and the Melrose Park & Recreation Depts.
We are continuing the tradition of ending the program with "Stars and Stripes Forever", in which children will be given free American flags to wave while marching in front of the clubhouse.
