Join us on the front lawn of First Baptist Church Melrose, MA as we light the tree GOLD for Childhood Cancer Awareness.
Everyday 32 children are diagnosed with cancer. 7 of those children
will lose their battle each day. Childhood Cancer is the leading cause
of death by disease in children under the age of 16. Currently, there
is no Pediatric Oncologist on the National Cancer Institute Board. Out
of all of the money raised for cancer research funding only 4% of that
goes to fund cancer research for ALL 12 of the major Childhood Cancers.
We need to raise awareness that Childhood Cancer deserves to be acknowledged and researched.
We also need to join together in prayer for all those affected by
Childhood Cancer. The children who are sick, their siblings, their
parents, the doctors who treat them, the nurses who care for them, the
extended family members who help and then.... the children who lose
their battles, the family members of the children who have lost their
battles and all those who love them.
Join us as we light the tree, raise awareness and pray.
