Melrose Trounces Arlington; Advances to Football Title Game Against Woburn

Find out when the Melrose High School football team takes on Woburn in the Division 3 Northwest championship game.

After trouncing no. 3 Arlington 49-7 in the semifinal round on Friday, the no. 2 ranked Melrose High School football team will host no. 5 Woburm in the Division 3 Northwest championship game.

The title game is set for 7 p.m. Nov. 15 at Fred Green Field in Melrose. The winner will move on to the state playoff bracket with state title aspirations.

On the road to the finals, Melrose also defeated no. 7 Burlington 47-28 on Nov. 1 in Melrose in the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, Woburn advanced to the finals by beating top ranked Concord-Carlisle 17-14 at Concord-Carlisle High School on Friday night. The Tanners also upset No. 4 Wakefield 21-7 on Nov. 1 in Wakefield in the quarterfinals.
